Horse Vaccinations

Tetanus – Equip T All horses should have protection against tetanus without exception. Vaccination should begin at 6 months. Initial course: 2 vaccines 4 -6 weeks apart. Booster vaccines: No longer than every 36 months.

Equine Influenza and Tetanus – Equip FT
All horses which compete to any level or regularly leave the yard should be protected against flu and tetanus. Vaccination should begin at 6 months Initial course: 3 vaccines, the second one 4-6 weeks after the first, and a third one 6 months later.
Booster vaccines: Annual booster vaccination < 365 days.

Equine Influenza – Equip F
Horses which are competing at FEI level require 6 monthly booster vaccinations, after the initial course of 3, in this case alternating with flu and then flu and tetanus vaccines is useful.
